HEATHERWICK STUDIO TO DESIGN UK NATIONAL PAVILION
Heatherwick Studio, leading a team that also includes exhibition designers Casson Mann, structural engineer Adams Kara Taylor and technology engineer Atelier Ten won the competition to design the UK pavilion in Shanghai.  You can see their concept and the five others shortlisted here.
Great Exhibition 1851
GREAT EXHIBITION 1851
China sees the UK as the ‘mother’ of the Expo movement following the Great Exhibition of 1851.  Shanghai will be an historic event – the first time an Expo has taken place in a developing country.  The organisers have commissioned the Victoria and Albert Museum to create an exhibit on the history of World Expos.
